Phil Griffiths MCIH Horticultural Consultant
As our senior horticultural consultant, Phil provides specialised horticultural advice to help transform design concepts into landscapes that establish well and thrive. This often involves articulating how a project site’s particular climatic and ecological context can impact the way particular plants grow, selecting viable plants that suit the design and controlling factors such as soil, light, air and water to create the right internal and external growing conditions for long-term success. Phil also ensures operational and maintenance issues are vetted throughout the design process.
Prior to MRG Studio, Phil managed five glasshouse conservatories at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew for over twenty years, coordinating year-round public displays and sixteen annual orchid festivals.
