Priter Road
London, UK
The landscape design for this development at Printer Road aims to create a sympathetic setting for the new building, provide outdoor amenities and play space for its residents and contribute positively to the local ecology. This means bringing a touch of the ‘wild’ into this built, urban environment for a landscape that can be used year-round and is easy to maintain.
Our priorities for the landscape design:
1. Integrate the new building into St James’s and Dockley Road street fabric and provide a setting that strengthens the sense of place and identity in the St James parish
2. Create and maintain a vegetative vibrancy at street level that is outward focused to the benefit of all Bermondsey residents
3. Prioritise inclusive access to the building entrances and spaces that encourage sitting together and getting to know one another
4. Provide space in amenity area for growing food
5. A play area with equipment that develops a range of core skills for the 0-4yrs age group in a nature-rich Setting. The proposed buildings will provide 35 units, a mix of one, two and three-bed units, three of which will be fully accessible.
